Large Spaces
Quem vê as imagens que compõem a série “Large Spaces” é confrontado com cantos e
esquinas. A contradição entre as imagens e o título que é dado à série poderá causar
estranheza. Estranheza essa que contribui para a criação de uma relação quase imediata
com o “fora de campo”, com o que a fotografia deixa de fora do enquadramento.
A palavra “espaço”, muitas vezes usada como referência à imensidão que nos envolve,
pretende funcionar como uma provocação. Nestas imagens, os “espaços” não existem nas
imagens, mas fora delas.
Em “Large Spaces”, a clausura do campo visual, acentua a necessidade de libertar o espaço
mental.
O trabalho "Large Spaces" estará exposto na Galeria Lab65 (www.lab65.com) a partir do dia 30 de Abril.

Large Spaces
Those who see the images contained in the series “Large Spaces”, are confronted with
corners and edges. The contradiction between the images and the title of the series may
cause strangeness. This “strangeness” contributes to the creation of an almost immediate
relation with what is out of the framing.
The word “space”, often used as a reference to the immensity that surrounds us, has the
pretension of being a provocation. In these images, the “spaces” are not inside the frame,
but outside.
In “Large Spaces”, the reclusion of the visual field, accentuates the need to free the mental
space.
The work "Large Spaces" will be exhibited at Lab65 Gallery (www.lab65.com) beginning the 30th of April.
